Stuart Bromhead is going to be running the London Marathon 2011,in aid of Asthma UK. Support Stuart Bromhead
As you may or may not know, I’m running the London marathon this month in aid of Asthma UK. I’m running to raise funds for Asthma UK because my wife suffers from asthma and my son was in hospital, at the age of 5 months with breathing difficulties, and is now showing signs of developing asthma.
Training has been hard, for someone who does not do any running, not even for a bus, but I have kept up with going out 5 times a week, in the sun, wind and rain, and yes even when it was -13 outside. I was even training while on holiday in the USA, doing 10-15k runs every day.
I have had my injuries other the last couple of months, ankles, knees and hips, but I’ve kept going, so please dig deep and help support me and Asthma UK, in the London marathon
Did you know: - On average, 3 people per day or 1 person every 7 hours dies from asthma
- One in 11 children has asthma and it is the most common long-term medical condition
- If one parent has asthma, the chance of their child developing asthma is approximately double that of children whose parents don't have asthma.
- Every 17 minutes a child is admitted to hospital in the UK because of their asthma.
